FULLHOUSE cafe opens in Kuching

Hey guys, on the 24th of November, FULLHOUSE opens their Kuching outlet already!

Here is their press release

Petaling Jaya, 24 November, 2011 – A one-of-its-kind Lifestyle store and café chain, FULLHOUSE, which started operations in 2008 and now has six outlets in Klang Valley and one in Penang, will be opening new outlets in Kuching and Kota Kinabalu East Malaysia as well as expanding to Singapore before the end of this year.

Inspired by the the Korean drama series of the same name, its concept is a white-themed Victorian house with romantic French-design accents complete with living room, dining room, bedroom, kitchen, garden and even a bathroom. The white décor exudes a calming effect and creates a serene, warm, subdued and inviting environment for diners. FULLHOUSE aims to create a home-away-from-home relaxed atmosphere where one can dine in comfort with friends and family.

Each outlet houses the café as well as a lifestyle store where everything displayed is for sale. This includes clothes, fashion accessories, gifts and decorative items from Korea and Hong Kong.

Another unique feature of FULLHOUSE is that the café and store is represented by five comic-book characters known as the 5-T’s, a family unit that comprises the dad Thomas, mom Tracy, the kids Tony and Tiffany,  and their pet dog Toy. The 5-T characters are also reflected in the menu items that are created with the 5 family members in mind.

The FULLHOUSE café offers diners a wide selection of Italian, Japanese and Chinese fusion cuisine. The storybook menu features each 5-T character’s favorite meal set as well as a comic portion for diners to read. Menu highlights include main courses such as The Tony’s Burger (with chicken patty done in Teriyaki style), pan-sear Dory Fish with Lemon Grass cream, Oven Roasted Chicken Parcel, Lamb Shank Ratatouille, and desserts such as Tiramisu with strawberry, Chocolate Cup with Berry Sauce and Crème Brulee. There is also a good selection of drinks for Afternoon Tea that includes Espresso, Cappuccino, Flower Tea and Korean Tea.

Adam Swee, the Chief Executive Officer of FULLHOUSE, says “In the coming months, we will be rapidly expanding to bring the unique FULLHOUSE experience to East Malaysia and Singapore. We believe that our concept will greatly appeal to the young adult and family segments that are always on the look-out for something new in the market. We have started the theme concept for outlets in Giant Cheras and Penang Times Square.

Giant Cheras has a mini stage where have local singers perform every weekend. As for the Penang Times Square, the theme is romantic where we have an added service on marriage registration, a professional hair salon, florist service and an event hall for the newly weds.  We will launch the marriage package very soon.

Hills Shopping Mall at Kuching is now opened with a feel-good greenery environment, we are currently on track to open our outlets in Suria Sabah Shopping Mall (Kota Kinabalu) and Rendezvous Gallery (Singapore).”
